Bantam Girls HL, U15, 2015-2016 (Mt Forest Minor Hockey Association)

After a long season of perseverance and tenacity the Bantam house girls travelled to Wingham this past weekend and returned home with the WOAA builders championship for the first time since 2004. The team ramped up its play incrementally over the last eight games to finish with a tournament routing four win streak.

The Rams headed to Wilmot this weekend to take on a daunting eight team challenge challenge against our hockey friends from the south. 

The Rams completed the weekend sweep with a 1-0 shutout on home ice. Girls played an excellent game against a very strong Walkerton team. A win is always nice, especially when you knock off a former rep team. Evelyn was the games only goal scorer. She made and excellent end to end rush and finished with a bar down shot over the goalies blocker arm. The entire team played great in front of Sandra who turned away all 19 shots to earn the shutout.

Bantam girls HL scored a big win today in Chatsworth, 3-1. Eaden and Laeney scored their first goals of the season as well as Evelyn secured the victory by scoring into the empty net.. The only assist in the game was by Courtney on Laeney`s goal. Rachel was solid in net again, making 2 big saves with under a minute to go to keep it a 2-1 lead for the Rams. The Rams will try for a weekend sweep on Sunday at home against Walkerton."LET`S GO RAMS"
