The U-15 Local League pulls off another squeaker of a win tonight against the Mid-Huron Huskies.
The Rams showed true maturity tonight as they took their second playoff game win, 2-1 against the Huskies.
Discipline shone as the gentlemen went scoreless through the first period into the second, where the Huskies opened the scoring, short-handed, against goalie #30 Pryce L. The Rams responded quickly with an unassisted goal by defenceman #15 Nolan D. on the power play. Mount Forest gained the edge over Mid-Huron by not retaliating after the Huskies were plagued with penalties. At 3:31 left in the second, #55 Jordan D and #4 Ben T., assisted on the game-winning goal shot by #16 Madden B.
Penalty problems continued for the Huskies in the third period where they had four charged to them. The Rams could not capitalize on the power play and ended up having to kill off three of their own penalties. The third period was full of more exciting opportunities for the Ram's goalie to show off his skill set and excite fans. A good weekend rest and practice on Sunday will be sure to prepare the team for their third playoff game Monday night.
