Midget Rep Team Scores Second Victory
Mt Forest Midget Rep hosted the Durham Midgets in an exhibition game at the Sports Complex on Wednesday October 15th.  After two periods of what I would describe as "shinny" hockey, Mt Forest came out strong in the third period and destroyed Durham.  Mt Forest ran into their usual penalty difficulties, but overcame that with excellent penalty killing abilities (we get a lot of practice in that).  Durham was not allowed to score on the power play.  Good work Gents...let's keep it up !!

Mt Forest came out and scored in the first period on a goal by Burke Seehaver, assisted by Chris Bouwers.  That was all the scoring in the first period.  Early in the second period Durham scored two VERY quick goals (within a minute of each other), before Mt Forest was again able to turn it around with goals from Burke Seehaver (turning into a scoring machine here), assisted by Jake Bulley, and Luke McLellan, assisted by Wes Penney.
The third period saw a more methodical attack by Mt Forest.  Our passes were beginning to click, and we were getting shots on the Durham net.  Luke McLellan tried a couple of times before he found that the puck actually has to cross the goal crease before it counts as a goal....posts don't count Luke....Luke scored his second of the night, with an assist again going to Wes Penney (great to see you back Luke !!).  It became very apparent that Durham was resorting to their usual ways of intimidation wins hockey games.  Dean Nixon got under the skin of Wes Penney, which appeared to rile Wes....we like to see Wes riled....cause following an undeserved penalty, Wes went down and scored on an assist from Luke McLellan.   The scoring was completed by "Dougie" Hoffman, unassisted.
Goal tending was admirably accomplished by Justin Rawn and Matt Hunter.
Our next action is in Listowel on Sunday night.
